In addition to Steve and Rujon Morrison,
we would like to introduce you to some of our other team members.
All our team members have been through the retreat program as part
of their training prior to serving on staff as well as a rigorous
mentoring program.
HFN Core Team

Kara
Kim joined the HFN team in April 2007 after experiencing her own
breakthrough at an Intensive Retreat in 2006. She is a social
worker by training and received her Masters Degree in Social Work at
Columbia University in 2002. Kara has worked in the areas of
domestic violence, at-risk youth, prison ministry and continues to
enjoy bringing truth into people's hearts about who they really are
in God's eyes. She has joined the HFN Team to encourage, intercede
for and empower people in their journey towards freedom and
experiencing more abundant life.
She currently resides in Manhattan,
NY with her husband and loves to draw, read and spend quality time
with friends.

Brenda Smith
Brenda has been a Christian since
1973 but didn’t fully realize her identity in Christ until her
participation in an HFN retreat some 20 years later. She has worked
with HFN for several years in a number of ways: as a
Listener/Encourager on retreats, as a coach with participants, as a
graphics artist for HFN, and as a team project leader.
Brenda is a graphic designer and
spent 25 years in advertising as a creator director designing such
things as trade shows, magazines, billboards, print ads, television,
as well as designing jewelry. One of her creations is the Healing
for the Nations retreat brochure. She also holds an MBA from
Kennesaw University. She is also on the Advisory Board for the
School of Visual Arts, Kennesaw University in Kennesaw Georgia.
Brenda is married and the mother of
four children, and grandmother to a new grandson. She lives in the
greater Atlanta, Georgia area.
The Pearl of Great Price
In the past few years, Brenda has shifted her creative design focus
to jewelry and is especially passionate about her unique “Pearl of
Great Price” pendant. Brenda comments, “The Pearl of Great Price
pendant is a constant reminder of our value and identity and well as
a powerful witnessing tool. The “seed” idea for this beautiful piece
was actually planted when she first attended HFN’s Intensive
Retreat. Check out our Product page
for more information on this piece.

Rhonie
Hammond is a tremendous asset in our office as she
coordinates the production of retreat materials and supplies. She’s
the first team member you meet during registration and is involved
in behind-the-scenes logistics at retreats and our women’s From Head
to Heart Bible studies.
Rhonie has been in ministry since 1979 with much of her work being
in Europe and the former Soviet Union. Working in the role of
Listener / Encourager at our retreats, she has a real heart of
compassion. –And, you can also see her adding life to many of our
teachings with her creative illustrations.
Rhonie is married and has three children. She has been with Healing
for the Nations in Georgia since 1998.

Kim
Burnett, LPC, M.S. has completed a Masters of Science at Georgia
State University and a Specialist degree in Family Therapy and
Adlerian psychology. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor
since 2003 working with individuals, families, and adolescents. Kim
loves to see people grow in their relationship with Christ and see
how their relationships with family, friends and connections at work
blossom in Christ's healing hands.
"HFN is the cornerstone for own my
healing. I have had a relationship with Christ since I was a child,
but I did not understand the true meaning of his grace for me until
I was introduced to the concepts provided by HFN when I was 28. The
retreat I went through at 38 changed my life. Through understanding
God's desire to celebrate my life, I was empowered to be who I was
meant to be. I have a wonderful marriage with Robert Burnett. Rob
has been with the HFN team for more than 10 years, and together we
enjoy my two teens, Jake and Meredith, his three teen daughters,
Andria, Ashley and Annie, and our son born in March of 2006,
Nathaniel. We also have a mini farm with 4 horses, 3 dogs and mice
in the barn, so I keep telling my husband, cats are coming!"

Additional Team
HFN
team volunteers serve on The Intensive Retreat in a number of ways:
in logistical matters, helping with teaching, coaching and serving
as Listener/Encouragers. Each of these individuals has attended an
Intensive Retreat, use the tools presented in their own lives and
are trained for the specific areas in which they serve. The team
organized for each retreat is dependent upon the number of
participants attending.
In addition to the on site team, over
500 individuals world-wide commit to pray for the participants
during their retreat week. These "prayer warriors" have all attended
a retreat of their own, and know the power of prayer. It is a
beautiful picture of behind the scenes support and certainly helps
usher in the presence of God. And yes, miracles do happen!
